Smart lighting technology for more atmosphere

Functional and emotional criteria determine modern lighting concepts. The perfect illumination of the work areas is flanked by atmospheric ambient lighting, an increasingly important design element for rooms. With the new LED lights in the LUMICA® range from Naber, impressive lighting features in the niche, above the cooking island and in the dining area can be combined and smartly controlled to create a sophisticated room concept.

The innovative LED lights Sun Romo and Sun Beam as well as the flexible track system Easytrack are the new stars of the LUMICA® presentation at the Naber stand H 21 at the area30. The pendant or ceiling light Sun Romo with matt black housing can provide either direct working light or direct ambient light above the cooking island, and indirect ambient light can also be added. The light colour and brightness are infinitely variable. The same functions are provided by the Sun Beam under-cabinet light in the niche. Both newcomer lights have the high CRI 90 index for unadulterated colour rendition. Together, they offer a fantastic array of options for customised lighting scenarios.

Using the Easytrack system, a large kitchen and living area can be illuminated in both a focused and atmospheric way. The length and shape of the light track and the type of lights are freely plannable. Rotating and focussable spotlights, floodlight strips and various pendant lights can be integrated. All LUMICA® lighting innovations can be controlled using a radio remote control. Or they can be integrated into the smart home lighting environment by means of the Zigbee 3.0 converter interface.

The MEC LED converter system for more connectivity

The new LUMICA® LIC converter system takes the distribution, switching and control of LED lights to a new level. For the first time, 12V and 24V distribution modules can be connected to the power supply unit using various function modules. The power supply unit is available in the wattages 18, 36, 48, 60-72, 90 and 120 and is compatible with all main socket types.

Various switching modules can be combined with this highly flexible MEC LED converter system. Four module types are available. Firstly, the distribution module: This can be used to connect up to eight LED lights to the power supply unit. Second, the switching module: Using sensors, this makes it possible to control single and colour-changing LED lights in a maximum of three lighting groups. Wired sensors as well as radio sensors can be integrated, for example motion detectors, door contacts or on/off dimmers.

Thirdly, if a particularly wide range of light colours is required, the RGBW function module is recommended. It can be used to connect up to three RGB lights and control them by remote control. The fourth scenario is the control via smart home connection: the 1- or 4-channel radio modules with Zigbee 3.0 interface enable quick and easy integration of the LIC function converters into existing Zigbee-based lighting systems such as Phillips Hue or IKEA Smart Home lighting. The 1-channel radio module can be used to control up to four individual LED lights, while the 4-channel radio module can control four groups of lights.
