It all depends on the air guidance

The right air guidance in the kitchen improves the well-being of the people who cook and eat there. With a downdraft extractor, the cooking vapours are directed into the kitchen floor unit. Depending on the size and condition of the filter, the recirculating air solution removes grease and pollutants from the cooking vapours. However, if the recirculating air is not channelled, the moisture remains entirely in the furniture body. The most common damage caused includes swelling, which can lead to mould growth. This has to be renovated, because mould spores should not under any circumstances be allowed to contaminate the indoor air we breathe in.

Using technology from Naber, the hob extractor can be planned and realised without any health risks. As the market leader in kitchen ventilation technology, we recommend ducted recirculating air or exhaust air. Scientific studies have shown that these solutions are also suitable for low-energy buildings.

Guided recirculating air

Guided recirculating air with the COMPAIR® GREENflow technology from Naber guides cooking vapours through the closed air duct system to the base of the kitchen cabinet with minimal pressure loss. At the front edge of the base, the filtered moist air flows back into the kitchen through slatted grilles. The activated charcoal filters in the GREENflow filter boxes can be repeatedly regenerated and effectively remove residual grease, pollutants and odours. Several filter boxes can be combined depending on cooking habits and the room situation. Support feet can be integrated to improve stability.

Guided exhaust air

The exhaust air solution for the downdraft extractor not only removes grease, pollutants and odours, but also moisture from the kitchen. Activated charcoal filters do not need to be regenerated or replaced, and there is no need for run-on times to dry the filters. The flow-optimised, absolutely airtight COMPAIR PRIME flow® air ducts can be installed without tools. Together with the wall conduct TURBO 150 including the energy-saving THERMOBOX, they form a highly effective exhaust air solution. In case of a free-standing cooking island, the pressure-resistant air ducts are installed in the floor structure or under the basement ceiling. This solution increases the performance of the extractor hood while reducing the noise level.
