The intelligent Vario energy distributor controls the synchronous supply of strong consumers in the kitchen at a classic 230 V/16A Schuko socket. It provides two socket pots that are colour-coded. If two appliances with high energy consumption, such as a dishwasher and a hot-water boiler, are operated simultaneously, overloading may occur during the heating phases. The socket strip is specially designed for high connected loads and prevents the circuit breaker from tripping. In this case, a device is switched off briefly. It is switched on again at about 450 W. The red function indicator lights up when the appliance in the white socket is switched on. The indicator goes out when the unit is switched off. All connected loads can be disconnected from the mains simultaneously via the 2-pole, illuminated rocker switch. Furthermore, an extended touch protection is integrated for additional safety. The 2-way socket outlet is equipped with a silver-coloured housing and a 150 cm long mains cable. It can be used as a table socket outlet and can also be attached to a wall or cabinet.

Given simultaneous operation of two appliances with high energy consumption (e.g. washing machine and dryer or dishwasher and boiler), during the heating phase of the appliances, the supply line may become overloaded and, as a result, the circuit breaker may be activated.
The Vario power distributor recognises this and switches off one appliance to avoid triggering of the circuit breaker.  
For example, if a washing machine is operated in the black socket and a dryer in the white socket, the dryer is switched off briefly during the heating phase of the washing machine. Once the heating process of the washing machine finishes, the dryer is automatically switched back on again. If the white socket is switched on, the red function display is also automatically lit. A 2-pole illuminated rocker switch also makes it possible to disconnect all the connected consumers from the mains so as to avoid potential danger sources.
